At the beginning of December 2020, the New York Times newspaper published a series of testimonies of young women who were victims of “revenge porn” while they were still minors. The platform used: Pornhub, the porn giant.
This article has the effect of a bomb and there are many reactions from the public. Pornhub is quick to announce that it will take strict measures to avoid these excesses: only its partners and people whose identity has been checked beforehand will be able to do so. Until now, any user who registered with his or her e-mail address could publish content. In other words, a door wide open to psychopaths who want to broadcast or watch filthy videos! Rose Kembla in 2009 had begged Pornhub to delete the video of her rape at the age of 14, reaping nothing but ignorance and contempt from the site. She had to pretend to be a threatening lawyer to finally get this horrible video deleted. Pornhub is a platform run by mentally ill perverts who don’t give a damn about the rape victims on their site! In the coming year, the porn site promises a first “annual transparency report”, quantifying reports of illegal content and pointing to “other key indicators, related to the transparency and security of our platform”. 80 moderators to check millions of videos, algorithms that are easy to circumvent… What a joke! Certainly millions of illicit videos have been deleted, certainly Paypal, Visa and Mastercard have suspended their partnership with the site but we all know that all this is just a nice slice of hypocrisy ! MindGeek, the owner of the site is simply complicit in the sexual trafficking of children, no more and no less.
MindGeek is 2.4 billion monthly visits … Pornhub alone is 3.5 billion users each month, 120 million visitors per day. MindGeek is headquartered in Luxembourg (conveniently a tax haven) and manages 1,200 employees worldwide with offices in Hamburg, London, Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, Montreal and Nicosia. So Trudeau, Elizabeth and Trump did not legislate to frame these sulfurous platforms? Of course they have, but they don’t sanction them for breaking the law. Because MindGeek is THE porn company. Behind it, a hundred sites: RedTube, YouPorn, PornMD, PornIQ, GayTube, Tube8, XTube, Brazzers, Reality Kings, Playboy … A factory of debauchery and vomit, but an unassailable financial windfall. Pornhub was founded in 2007 by 4 friends from Concordia University, Matt Keezer, Stéphane Manos, Ouissam Youssef and Feras Antoon through the company Mansef. Antoon is a key figure in the pornography industry and his background questions: he has been involved in several cases since at least 2009. At that time, the American secret service suspected financial movements on the accounts of the Mansef company coming from Israel and other countries that are on a banking blacklist. The case will be settled in 2011 with the payment of 2.2 million dollars. It is the German millionaire Fabian Thylmann, owner of Manwin, who bought their company in 2010, the beginning of a long series of acquisitions of sites dedicated to pornography. In 2013, while he was part of Manwin’s management team, his boss was arrested for tax fraud linked to his company. It will be for him the opportunity to buy back his shares from Thylmann… Strange. It is after this acquisition that Mansef becomes MindGeek. In 2015, MindGeek is involved in two lawsuits for copyright infringement, which are settled out of court. In 2016, it is in an investigation for insider trading that it appears and will not be overly concerned. It looks like Antoon has a way out of some pretty shady deals. Privileges linked to his activities in pornography? Small arrangements between friends? In any case, the king of (pedo)porn has the reputation of being feared and admired … I would add megalomaniac.
MindGeek isn’t just a bunch of disgusting sites run by wealth-hungry perverts, ready to broadcast child rape without a care in the world, it’s also in the backyard, donors or investors who insist on their anonymity, it’s not glamorous, unethical to be affiliated with the porn giant and few brag about it. One of them is Bernard Bergemar, he is the biggest owner and beneficiary of the group… through a complex network of affiliated companies. The only trace of Bergemar appears in 2010 as director of the RedTube porn site, which was later bought by MindGeek. Is he such an important link in this financial porn network that his identity has to be hidden at all costs? Or is it just a fictitious person quoted as a front to a company, a more obscure person? For the moment we don’t know. Another entity hidden behind MindGeek: Fortress Investment Group, a major alternative investment fund based in New York whose co-founder and co-director, Wesley R. Edens, is a former managing director of Blackrock. Then there are the elite con artists, the JPMorgan Chase. The latest one we know of is Cornell University, a private, tax-exempt American university ranked among the top 15 most prestigious universities in the world. “It is one of the eight prestigious Ivy League universities (including Harvard, Yale, Columbia and Princeton) and has 59 Nobel Prize winners, 1 Fields medal, 18 Pulitzer Prizes, 5 heads of state, 27 Olympic medalists, 8 NASA astronauts and 14 affiliated billionaires (students and faculty). Frankly, this raises questions! What does a university of this prestige have to do with pornography?? For the anecdote, it is in this university that Anthony Fauci studied. Of course, none of these protagonists have pronounced themselves on this subject, but what is certain is that whether it is about them or about the others we don’t know yet, we will continue to scratch this layer of manure and we will publish all the names, to the last one! And look at how far their hypocrisy, their contempt goes: In 2019, MindGeek became a partner of the International Association of Internet Hotlines (INHOPE), which “will help further their mission of keeping children away from age-restricted media. And if governments turn a blind eye and are slow to act, it’s because they consent. Wasn’t Trudeau urged to take action last March by hundreds of people who came to demonstrate and demand the closure of Pornhub for its complicity in the sex trafficking of women and minors? A few MPs supported this action by writing a letter to him asking him to legislate and ensure that the legal framework around porn sites is respected. Nothing has been done … Pornography, child pornography, investment companies, prestigious universities, governments … in the end all this little world is governed by only one objective, money. No states of mind, no emotions, no conscience, for them the rapes of women or children are just a commodity generating a maximum of money …
